Lagarde Plans Early Exit to Lead WEF, Schwab Says

Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), is contemplating stepping down from her post before her term concludes to assume the role of Chair of the World Economic Forum (WEF). This plan, revealed by Klaus Schwab, founder and former chairman of the WEF, was discussed over several years. According to Schwab, he visited Lagarde in Frankfurt earlier this year to discuss the transition. 2027 is the desired time for her to step into the WEF role, though not before her commitment to complete her ECB term first.
