Sam Bankman-Fried’s Prison Sentence Reduced By Over Four Years

Sam Bankman-Fried’s 25-year sentence for fraud related to the collapse of FTX has been significantly reduced, with his anticipated release date now set for December 2044. This reduction is attributed to good conduct credits and participation in prison programs. Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research, who was convicted for her role in the same scheme, also saw a decrease in her sentence. She is expected to be released in May 2026.
