North Korean Hackers Steal Over $5.2 Million in Crypto

A recent cyberattack orchestrated by suspected North Korean hackers has resulted in the theft of over $5.2 million in cryptocurrency. Blockchain investigator ZachXBT reports that this incident took place on May 24th, targeting multiple wallets and exchanges. The perpetrators are believed to have used various methods to transfer funds, including multi-signature wallets, regular addresses, and exchange accounts, with one perpetrator depositing a large sum of ETH into Tornado Cash to hide the trail of illicit funds.
