Lagrange Labs Unleashes LA Token With Community Airdrop

Lagrange Labs is launching its own token, the LA token, with a community airdrop event from May 28 to June 2, 2025. This move aims to increase user engagement and strengthen their decentralized ecosystem. The airdrop is being conducted via Turing Roulette, targeting active participants and promoting deeper involvement in the protocol.

The LA token will be used for ZK proof fees and mortgages within Lagrange Labs’ newly formed independent foundation. With a limited supply of one billion tokens, 10% have been allocated to early adopters through this airdrop.

This launch is significant because it integrates Lagrange Labs further into the Ethereum ecosystem as they are integrated with EigenLayer. LA token usage could potentially increase Ethereum network activity for ZK proof-related transactions. The initiative emphasizes security with identity verification, reducing potential sybil attacks.

History has shown that community airdrops often lead to increased protocol engagement and total value locked (TVL) in crypto projects like LayerZero and Starknet. While LA tokens are yet to be listed on exchanges, their initial liquidity remains unclear.

“The LA token will serve as the native payment system for ZK proof fees and mortgages, key drivers of its proof economic model and ecosystem growth.” – Lagrange Labs Official Project Website
