Shutter Network Proposes ‘Holy Trinity’ for Enhanced Ethereum Censorship Resistance

Shutter Network, an open-source threshold encryption protocol originally developed by brainbot GmbH and a contributor to Gnosis Chain’s encrypted transaction layer, has proposed a three-part solution that addresses Ethereum’s growing concerns regarding censorship and centralization. Dubbed the ‘Holy Trinity of Censorship Resistance,’ this strategy combines three key technologies: enshrined PBS (ePBS), Fork-Choice enforced Inclusion List (FOCIL), and encrypted mempools. This proposal outlines how protocol upgrades could restore Ethereum’s neutrality and trustworthiness, essential values for its transition to a mainstream financial infrastructure.
