Nvidia Unveils Cheaper AI Chips for Chinese Market

NVIDIA is set to launch a new generation of AI chips designed specifically for China, aiming to navigate restrictions on its more expensive models. Citing sources familiar with the matter, Reuters reports that the company plans to start mass production of these cost-effective chips in June. These chips will be part of their latest generation of AI processors and will likely be priced between $6,500 and $8,000, a significant drop from the recent price range of $10,000-$12,000 for the company’s H20 model which is currently restricted for export to China.
