Manhattan Investor Arrested in Alleged Cryptocurrency-Motivated Kidnapping, Torture

A Manhattan crypto investor named John Woeltz has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after allegedly holding a 28-year-old Italian man hostage for over a month. Authorities allege that Woeltz, known to be active in the cryptocurrency market, orchestrated a violent scheme involving kidnapping, torture, and extortion for Bitcoin passwords.
