Crypto trader James Wynn has taken a high-risk stance against Bitcoin with a near $1 billion short position, utilizing 40x leverage. This move follows after he closed a massive long bet that initially cost him over $13 million. Meanwhile, Michael Saylor, the founder of Strategy Bitcoin, is hinting at another potential investment in Bitcoin despite recent price dips. Wynn opened his massive short position last Friday and faces liquidation at $149,100 if prices reach that level. Earlier this week he had predicted Bitcoin would hit $110K. This sudden shift comes after Wynn closed a previous long bet worth nearly $1.25 billion also with 40x leverage. Saylor’s recent tweets have been followed by major Bitcoin purchases, hinting at another significant investment from his firm. The latest potential purchase could increase Strategy Bitcoin’s already impressive holdings of 576,230 BTC. This would mark the company’s seventh consecutive week of Bitcoin purchases.
