Cryptophishing Scam: SlowMist Raises Security Alert

SlowMist has issued a security alert regarding a new phishing scam targeting cryptocurrency users. Individuals report receiving fraudulent text messages that appear legitimate, disguised as communications from popular trading platforms. These messages contain a withdrawal verification code and urge recipients to call a specific number if they did not initiate the transaction. Upon calling the number, users are directed to individuals claiming to be ‘hardware wallet support’ who then guide them to phishing websites where they enter their private mnemonic phrases. This ultimately leads to asset theft from users’ cold wallets. The alert urges all cryptocurrency users to remain vigilant and take precautions to safeguard their assets.
