Copy-Paste Scam Leaves User Out $2.5M Twice

A cryptocurrency user suffered a significant financial loss after duplicating an incorrect address from erroneous transaction records twice. The individual first attempted to transfer 843,166 Tether (USDT) to another wallet but accidentally sent it to the wrong address. Subsequently, the victim again sent $1.7 million worth of USDT to the same invalid address. The user had previously moved $838,611 in USDT to a correct address just prior to falling prey to the scammers. Data suggests that their wallet received zero assets from a different address (0x4668EE748c88DA4FEc595773b22f96f366eD6B76) after transferring a portion of USDT, leading to the major mistake. 0x86C0300Fc369E is the victim’s address on the blockchain, which was identified as a target for scammers.
