Bitcoin Sees 2.41% Kimchi Premium in South Korea on May 26

On May 26th, Bitcoin trading on South Korean exchange Upbit saw a 2.41% premium known as the ‘Kimchi Premium.’ As of 12:00 AM KST, BTC prices were at 150.2 million KRW, down 0.30% from the previous day. On Binance, Bitcoin’s price stood at 146.67 million KRW, resulting in a gap of 3.53 million KRW and a Kimchi Premium of 2.41%. Ethereum (ETH) also displayed a notable Kimchi Premium, reaching 2.43%. Other major altcoins like Solana (SOL), XRP (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Shiba Inu (SHIB) showed significant premiums ranging from 2.45% to 2.52%, with most trading at a premium between 2.4% and 2.5%.
