Chainge Users Struggling with Delayed Access to Funds Amidst Project Promises Broken

Users facing challenges accessing their funds on Chainge, a cross-chain DeFi project led by Multichain founder DJ Qian, have been left in limbo for several months. Despite promised solutions being delayed, the lack of progress has heightened frustration. The project functions as both a bridge and a decentralized exchange, encountering significant issues since late 2024 and early 2025, specifically with cross-chain transactions involving wrapped Kaspa (wKAS). The Chainge team points to malicious actors exploiting the platform’s services but also attributes a liquidity shortage to ‘malicious actors abusing the service.’ The wKAS has significantly depegged from its peg point, leading to the termination of the partnership with ‘kas.fyi,’ adding to the complexities. Despite promises made by the Chainge team on March 24th that these issues would be fully resolved, as of May 22nd, no concrete progress has been achieved. This delay in addressing the situation has left users concerned, particularly since the front-end interface continues to facilitate cross-chain transactions, posing further risk of fund loss.
