SafeMoon CEO Convicted of Major Cryptocurrency Fraud, Faces Up to 45 Years Imprisonment

A federal jury has found Braden Karony, CEO of SafeMoon, guilty of orchestrating a $2 billion cryptocurrency fraud. He was convicted on charges including conspiracy to commit securities fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering. Karony also pleaded guilty to misleading investors about the financial state of SafeMoon. 12 days of proceedings were overseen by Judge Eric R. Komitee, who ensured fair legal processes throughout the trial.
