Pakistan Establishes Digital Asset Authority for Crypto Regulation

Pakistan’s Ministry of Finance has endorsed the creation of the Pakistan Digital Assets Authority (PDAA), a dedicated regulatory body to oversee blockchain-based financial infrastructure. The PDAA will handle licensing, regulate exchanges, custodians, wallets, tokenized platforms, stablecoins and decentralized finance applications, according to May 21 reports from PTV, a state-owned broadcaster.
