SEC Charges Unicoin Executives in $100 Million Crypto Scam

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed charges against Unicoin’s top executives, including CEO Alex Konanykhin, for a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme that defrauded investors out of $100 million. The company falsely claimed its tokens were backed by real estate assets, which turned out to be entirely fabricated.
