Russia Enacts New Cryptocurrency Regulations, Targeting BTC & Altcoin Assets

Facing international sanctions following its invasion of Ukraine, Russia is introducing new legislation to regulate cryptocurrency. The Russian Justice Ministry has drafted a bill classifying Bitcoin (BTC) and other digital assets as property subject to seizure. This draft law would enable the government to seize cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, facilitating their confiscation.
