US Senate Advances GENIUS Act to Regulate Stablecoin Market

The US Senate has taken a major step forward in regulating the rapidly growing stablecoin market. After Democrats initially blocked progress, the bill to enact the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for US Stablecoins Act (GENIUS Act) received bipartisan support and passed with a vote of 66-32. This move puts the bill on track for debate on the Senate floor.
