U.S. Senate Passes Landmark Bill for Stablecoin Regulation

The U.S. Senate has taken a significant step towards comprehensive crypto regulation by passing the 2025 National Guidance and Institution Building Act for Stablecoins (GENIUS Act). This landmark bill, with a vote of 66 to 32, establishes federal regulations for stablecoins for the first time. The act sets clear definitions, oversight, and capital adequacy standards at a federal level.
