U.S. Senate Moves GENIUS Act Forward for Comprehensive Review

The U.S. Senate has taken a significant step forward in the process of reviewing the GENIUS Act by advancing it to a full-scale review. The motion, called cloture, was passed to end debate and facilitate further scrutiny of the legislation. Notably, 15 Democratic senators, including Senator Cortez Masto, Senator Adam Schiff, and Senator Mark Warner, joined the vote in support of this motion, despite Minority Leader Schumer’s opposition.
