Argentina’s President Dismisses Investigation into LIBRA Cryptocurrency Scandal

Argentine President Javier Milei has dissolved the unit responsible for investigating his potential involvement in the controversial LIBRA cryptocurrency scandal. This action was announced through decree 332/2025 published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday, with the Ministry of Justice stating that the task force (UTI) has completed its assigned tasks and no longer functions. The decree was signed by President Milei and Justice Minister Mariano Cúneo Libarona. The UTI, established within the Ministry of Justice, had been investigating possible criminal involvement related to the scandal.
