Tether’s USDT Freeze Loophole Enables $78 Million Laundering

A vulnerability in Tether’s USDT freeze mechanism has been exploited, leading to the laundering of $78 million since 2017. This flaw arose from transaction enforcement delays on both the Tron and Ethereum networks, as highlighted by AMLBot. The automation tools used by criminals were able to exploit this delay for up to one hour before transfers could be stopped.
