Mubadala Boosts BlackRock Bitcoin ETF Stake Amidst U.S.-UAE Crypto Policy Talks

Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Investment Authority has significantly expanded its holdings in BlackRock’s Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), IBIT, to 8.727 million shares worth $408.5 million. This represents a 6% increase from the end of 2024. This move coincides with active discussions between the United States and the UAE regarding cryptocurrency regulations. Notably, David Sacks, President Trump’s advisor on AI and cryptocurrencies, engaged in talks with UAE officials on March 20th to explore potential collaboration in integrating digital currencies and artificial intelligence.
