Eric Council Jr. Sentenced for Impersonating SEC in Bitcoin ETF Fraud

Eric Council Jr. has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for orchestrating a fraudulent scheme regarding the potential regulatory approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs. His conviction follows an investigation and hearing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on May 16th, where he pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated identity theft and access device fraud.
