Nebraska Legislature Enacts Bitcoin Mining Regulation Bill

The Nebraska Legislature has unanimously approved LB 526, a bill that regulates Bitcoin mining operations. The legislation mandates large-scale miners to cover infrastructure upgrade costs, report energy usage data, and grants authorities the ability to suspend services in case of disturbances. The bill was passed with a 49:0 vote.
