Democrats Seek Access to Financial Records of Trump’s Cryptocurrency Ventures

A group of Democratic lawmakers is increasing pressure on President Donald Trump regarding his involvement in the cryptocurrency industry by requesting access to suspicious activity reports (SARs) connected to his associated projects. Representatives Gerald Connolly, Joseph Morelle, and Jamie Raskin sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, urging him to provide all SARs filed since 2023 related to World Liberty Financial (WLF), the Official Trump token, and other linked entities. SARs are documents filed by financial institutions with FinCEN when potential illegal activity is detected.
