A shocking attempted kidnapping in broad daylight targeted the family of Pierre Noizat, co-founder and CEO of French cryptocurrency exchange Paymium, in Paris on May 13th. The incident involved three masked assailants who ambushed Noizat’s daughter and her companion while they were walking with their child in the city’s 11th arrondissement. The attackers attempted to forcefully take the mother and child into a nearby van but were thwarted after a brave struggle, during which the woman managed to disarm one of the attackers before they fled. The woman’s companion also suffered physical assault, and all three victims sustained injuries. Passersby intervened, leading the attackers to abandon their attempt. Police later apprehended the suspects as they escaped in a van that was discovered at a nearby location. All victims were subsequently treated at a local hospital.
