Demands for Transparency: House Dem’s Seek Records on Trump and Cryptocurrency Ventures

House Democrats are pushing for transparency in the investigation of potential financial misconduct involving Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency ventures. Representatives Gerald Connolly, Jamie Raskin, and Joe Morelle issued a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, demanding access to Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) related to World Liberty Financial (WLF), Trump-branded memecoin $TRUMP, and other transactions with crypto investor Justin Sun. This request stems from concerns about possible violations of campaign finance laws, bribery statutes, securities regulations, and foreign influence in U.S. elections.
