This advancement is thanks to NEAR’s innovative Doomslug consensus mechanism, which guarantees robust finality by building on top of the blockchain layer, ensuring only malicious attacks capable of penalization can reverse previous blocks. This rapid finality time, at just 1.2 seconds, is ten times faster than Solana and over 600 times quicker than Ethereum and comparable Layer 2 solutions.
