Bybit Modifies Perpetual Contract Index Calculation, Aiming for Improved Stability

Bybit has implemented changes to the calculation method used for its perpetual contract indices, effective May 2025. These adjustments focus on adjusting order sizes and converting specific contracts like SXTUSDT and INITUSDT from pre-market trading to standard formats. This shift aims to achieve more stable market pricing by employing internal bid/ask prices instead of external references.
