Lido Finance Oracle Node Compromised, No User Funds at Risk

Lido Finance, a prominent staking protocol on Ethereum, recently disclosed that a private key belonging to Chorus One, its oracle infrastructure provider, was compromised. This development prompted Lido DAO to initiate an emergency voting process to replace the affected oracle node. The protocol’s official statement confirmed that despite this security breach, user funds remained safe, thanks to the multisig structure of their oracle system which requires signatures from 5 out of 9 participants. No other oracle nodes experienced any security breaches, and Lido’s operations continued uninterrupted.
