Zimbabwe Unveils Blockchain-Based Carbon Credit Registry for Increased Transparency

Zimbabwe has taken a significant step towards bolstering transparency in its carbon credit ecosystem by launching a blockchain-powered registry system. This initiative, announced by Environment Minister Evelyn Ndlovu at the launch event in Harare, aims to improve transaction clarity and restore investor confidence. Developed by Dubai’s A6 Labs, the system enables efficient issuance, trading, and cancellation of carbon credits while ensuring data integrity through full traceability.
