Stock prices for Intel, Nvidia, and AMD surged in pre-market trading on May 8th following an announcement from the U.S. government to ease restrictions on artificial intelligence (AI) chip development. President Trump’s administration revoked policies implemented during the Biden era that had previously limited the production of AI chips.
