Concise Answers Fuel AI Hallucination: New Study Reveals

AI is rapidly transforming various sectors, including finance and cryptocurrency. While promising efficiency and innovation, a challenge remains: AI hallucination. This refers to generating false or nonsensical information presented as factual truth. A recent study by Giskard reveals that simply requesting concise answers may worsen this problem. The study found that prompting chatbots for short responses significantly increases their likelihood of hallucinating. Leading generative AI models like OpenAI’s GPT-4, Mistral Large, and Anthropic’s Claude 3.7 Sonnet exhibit reduced factual accuracy when prompted to be brief.
