Arizona Joins the Crypto Revolution: Second State Passes Bitcoin Reserve Law

Governor Katie Hobbs signed House Bill 2749, paving the way for Arizona to adopt cryptocurrency within its unclaimed property system. The bill, introduced by Representative Jeff Weninger, allows the state to hold unclaimed digital assets in their native form and establishes a dedicated crypto reserve fund. This fund can be used to generate staking rewards or airdrops, potentially increasing the value of the assets without converting them to fiat currency.
