Binance Co-founder Urges Kyrgyzstan to Adopt Bitcoin and BNB as National Crypto Reserve

Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao, co-founder of Binance, has recommended that Kyrgyzstan establish a National Crypto Reserve based on Bitcoin (BTC) and Binance Coin (BNB). This proposal comes following his appointment to the country’s National Crypto Committee and his ongoing involvement with the Kyrgyz National Investment Agency. The initiative reflects a broader push by CZ to integrate blockchain technology into Kyrgyzstan’s economic strategy. CZ visited Kyrgyzstan, meeting President Sadyr Japarov, to discuss potential applications of blockchain. Key components include Binance Pay for cross-border transactions and educational programs through Binance Academy. This move aligns with Kyrgyzstan’s strategy of embracing crypto-based solutions while preparing a gold-backed stablecoin called USDKG to serve as a national reserve in the third quarter of 2025, according to plans from the Kyrgyz Ministry of Finance. The adoption of this National Crypto Reserve aligns with a global trend, with nations like Bhutan incorporating Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Binance Coin into their strategic reserves. The move by Kyrgyzstan could stimulate innovation, attract investment, and enhance its position as a leader in digital finance.
