IRS Cryptocurrency Leaders Depart Amid ‘Dogecoin’ Program Restructuring

Two key figures at the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tasked with developing cryptocurrency taxation policies have stepped down, according to PANews. Seth Wilks and Raj Mukherjee, who joined the IRS in 2024, are leaving effective Friday. This departure coincides with the government’s ‘DOGE Deferred Departure Program,’ which aims to adjust tax regulations regarding Dogecoin.
