FG Implements 40% Fare Reduction for CNG-Converted Vehicles in Abuja

Nigeria’s Federal Government has launched a program to incentivize the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) in commercial vehicles, offering a 40% fare reduction. The initiative was started on Friday at Area 1 Motor Park in Garki, Abuja, partnering with the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). This move follows President Tinubu’s aim to make transportation more affordable for Nigerians amid economic challenges. 40% fare reductions will be applied to commercial vehicles converted to CNG model as per analysis and data.
