U.S. Job Market Shows Resilience Amid Economic Uncertainty

Despite ongoing economic challenges including tariff announcements and market volatility, the U.S. economy continued to add jobs in April, according to data released by the Department of Labor on Friday. The report showed a net gain of 177,000 jobs added compared to expectations of 130,000. This number was slightly lower than March’s 185,000 increase, primarily due to federal government layoffs resulting in a decrease of 9,000 jobs.
