Tether Records $1 Billion Profit, Shows Excess Reserves of USDt

Tether, the issuer behind the world’s largest stablecoin by market cap, has released its Q1 2025 financials. The report reveals nearly $120 billion in US Treasury debt exposure and a reported operating profit exceeding $1 billion. Tether’s assets include $98.5 billion in direct US Treasury bills, along with over $23 billion in cash-equivalent investments through repurchase agreements. 💰 📈 The company reports an excess of USDt reserves at $5.6 billion, down from $7.1 billion in the previous quarter. Tether’s stablecoin, USDT, boasts a market capitalization of $149 billion as of May 1st.
