Cryptocurrency markets experienced a dramatic increase in hacking and theft losses during April, according to a report from blockchain security firm CertiK. Losses surged by 1,163%, rising to $364 million, compared to just $28.8 million recorded in March. This surge was primarily caused by a single large-scale attack that compromised an elderly American’s wallet, resulting in over $330.7 million in stolen Bitcoin.
