SEC Delays Ruling on Franklin Templeton XRP ETF, New Deadline Set for June 17th

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has once again extended its review period for the proposed Franklin Templeton XRP Trust, a spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) that would track the price of XRP. Originally seeking a decision on the ETF by April 29th, 2025, the SEC now aims to provide an official ruling on June 17th, 2025, either approving, disapproving, or initiating further proceedings. The delay comes after the SEC formally extended its review period in a regulatory notice under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
