Indian law enforcement has dismantled a major drug trafficking operation in several states, with the accused utilizing darknet platforms and cryptocurrency to distribute ‘hybrid ganja’. The investigation led to the arrest of four individuals in Hyderabad, including Harshvardhan Shrivastava, who allegedly invested Rs 40 lakh in cryptocurrency for illicit purposes. This bust involved the apprehension of Shrivastava alongside three others – B. Srinivasa Rahul from Tamil Nadu, and two local drug dealers, Abhishek and Dhawal, from Secunderabad. The suspects reportedly used darknet markets to acquire drugs, paid with digital currency and hawala transactions, before delivering them via courier services to evade detection. This operation, which highlights the sophisticated methods employed by organized crime rings, suggests a larger network of perpetrators across India. Authorities anticipate further discoveries as investigations continue.
