SEC Delays Decisions on XRP and DOGE ETFs, Prompts Surge in Crypto ETF Applications

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has pushed back the deadline for ruling on cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications for both XRP and Dogecoin. The delay extends until June, according to filings reviewed by Cointelegraph. This follows requests from exchanges like NYSE Arca and Cboe BZX Exchange to list Bitwise’s Dogecoin (DOGE) ETF and Franklin Templeton’s XRP (XRP) ETF respectively. Nasdaq also requested permission for a 21Shares Dogecoin ETF at the same time.
