Ethereum Fusaka Upgrade: EOF Excluded for Efficiency & Timeline

Ethereum’s core developers have decided to remove the EVM Object Format (EOF) from the upcoming Fusaka upgrade. This decision comes after considering several factors, including the pressing timeline for the upgrade and the team’s focus on prioritizing PeerDAS development. Additionally, technical uncertainties regarding EOF prompted this change. The decision also resulted from a lack of meaningful community feedback integration in the process. The initial goal of EOF was to improve EVM bytecode structure for enhanced security and performance, with plans to integrate around 15 EIPs.
