Celsius Founder Faces Up To 20 Years for $7 Billion Fraud

Alex Mashinsky, the former CEO of collapsed cryptocurrency company Celsius Network, faces a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison if his sentencing recommendation is approved. Prosecutors allege that Mashinsky orchestrated a long-running scheme designed to defraud customers and enrich himself. The scheme led to billions of dollars in losses for thousands of individuals as well as the collapse of Celsius.
