Stripe Launches Stablecoin Payment Services After Acquiring Bridge

Stripe has launched its stablecoin payment product after acquiring Bridge, a firm specializing in stablecoin services, for $1.1 billion in October 2024. Stripe CEO Patrick Collison revealed that the company had been planning to develop such a service for over a decade and is now seeing this vision become reality. The new offering aims to provide global payment solutions beyond the US and EU territories.
