Coinbase Calls for End to Lawsuits Against Staking in US, Claims $90 Million Lost

Publicly listed exchange Coinbase has joined a growing chorus calling for an end to the legal battles surrounding cryptocurrency staking in the United States. In its latest stance, Coinbase’s Vice President of Legal, Paul VanGrack, urged states with pending lawsuits against the company’s staking program to drop their cases, arguing that these actions are causing significant financial hardship for consumers and hindering innovation in the crypto industry. 5 other states, including Illinois, South Carolina, Alabama, Vermont and Kentucky dropped their own lawsuits, but five others, including California, Maryland, Wisconsin, New Jersey and Washington, remain active.
