Uber, Bolt, inDrive Face Accusations of Corporate Insensitivity as Drivers Boycott in Rivers

In a move to highlight concerns regarding working conditions and fair pay, drivers across Rivers State have announced a boycott of Uber, Bolt, and inDrive apps on May 1st for International Workers’ Day. The action, part of a global protest against app-based transportation companies, is led by the Amalgamated Union of App-based Transporters of Nigeria (AUATON) Chairman, Comrade Omoruyi Amos. 🚗 The boycott stems from complaints about unfair pricing structures, high commissions, lack of driver support, and an overall disconnect between drivers’ needs and company responses.
