SEC Chairman Advocates for Regulatory Reform of Digital Assets

Newly appointed SEC chair, Paul Atkins, is pushing for a fundamental change in the agency’s approach to crypto regulation. In a roundtable discussion on digital assets, Atkins emphasized that current regulations have hindered innovation and called for a complete overhaul of the agency’s framework for digital assets. He stated that these regulations fail to accommodate blockchain technologies and leave entrepreneurs and investors confused.
