The Nigerian Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an arrest warrant for six individuals suspected of orchestrating a $1 billion investment scam targeting Nigerians using the now-collapsed platform, CBEX. The order came after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) secured an ex parte motion from Justice Emeka Nwite against Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun, Emmanuel Oku, and four other defendants. The EFCC alleges that these individuals used ST Technologies International Limited, alongside foreigners, to advertise CBEX and lure Nigerians into investing. The agency states that the funds were not processed through any Nigerian account, which poses challenges for investigations.
